Uhereczky Gabriella
Head of laboratory

I was born in Budapest in 1972. I graduated in 1996 with a Master’s degree in Biology (MSc), specializing in Medical Biology, from the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). From 1996 to 1998, I worked as a research assistant at the Department of Physiology at ELTE, and from 1998 to 2006, I was part of the Anatomical, Histological, and Developmental Institute at Semmelweis University, working in the Neuromorphological Laboratory, initially as a scientific assistant and later as a PhD student.
In March 2006, I joined the team at the Forgács Institute, where I have been working as an embryologist ever since. Since 2014, I have been the head of the embryology laboratory. I am a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and in 2010, I passed the international ESHRE Clinical Embryologist Exam. Additionally, I am a member of the Hungarian Assisted Reproductive Society (MART) and the Hungarian Embryologist Society (MET).
Through both international and domestic courses, I have had the opportunity to master the latest techniques in the field of assisted reproduction. Together with my colleagues, we were among the first to test the Time Lapse system (PrimoVision) that tracks morphokinetic changes in embryo development. We also contributed to the development of cryopreservation procedures (VitaVitro ops). I have presented our research results, which include studies on the microRNA analysis of embryos, at various congresses. Together with my fellow embryologists, we have participated in numerous domestic and international conferences, both as speakers and attendees.
Since the founding of the Forgács Institute, and continuously since May 2023 under the Dunamenti REK framework, we strive to apply the most advanced therapeutic options. Keeping the individual needs of our patients in mind, we aim to do everything possible to help as many couples struggling with infertility to have children.
